Bulkhead
These wavelength sensitive, filter type
attenuators induce a fixed value loss between
two connectors. When introduced into a fiber
optic link , the attenuator will weaken the
strength of the optical signal. This loss or
“attenuation” is needed when an optical signal
has too much power which exceeds the dynamic
range of the receiver.
Plug-Style/Buildout
When introduced into a fiber optic link, an
attenuator weakens the optical signal. They are
used to control power levels of optical signals
from the outputs of light sources and
electro-to-optical converters.
Variable
Attenuators are passive optical components. When
introduced into a fiber optic link, the
attenuator will reduce the optical signal. Our
air-gap controlled attenuators are used to
control power levels of optical signals. The
attenuation level can be easily adjusted by the
user to obtain the desired value.
